【学术报告】Coordinated Delivery for Shopping Malls with Limited Docking Capacity

报告内容摘要:

 

Shopping malls can be densely located in major cities such as Singapore and Hong Kong. Due to limited docking capacity, uncoordinated deliveries to the tenants tend to result in congestion. A delivery coordination platform centrally schedules vehicle routes for multiple logistics providers, and simultaneously reserves dock timeslots for the deliveries. These decisions need to be made jointly against the backdrop of travel and service time uncertainty. We model this problem as a two-stage stochastic mixed integer program, and develop an adaptive large neighborhood search (ALNS) algorithm. We perform extensive numerical experiments on the effectiveness and efficiency of our approach (ongoing). Joint work with Ruidian Song and Hoong Chuin Lau.

 

 

报告人简介:

Dr. Lei Zhao is an associate professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University, China. His research focuses on computational stochastic optimization methodologies and their applications in supply chain management, clinical decision making, transportation science and logistics, omni-channel retailing. His research has been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MoST) as well as industry collaborators such as Sinoair, Sinopec, COSCONET, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, General Mills, IBM, etc. Dr. Zhao has publications in Annals of Operations Research, Computers & Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Research, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Transportation Research Part B-Methodological, Transportation Research Part C-Emerging Technologies, and Transportation Science, etc.
